
ABOUT ME
Award-winning soprano, Scotlyn Haverkorn, was most recently seen receiving the Edith Newfield award at the Musicians Club of Women Vocal Competition, an Encouragement Award at the Arizona District of the Laffont Metropolitan Opera Competition, and performing in UW-Milwaukee’s production of Suor Angelica as the title role.
Other awards include Second place in the Schubert Club’s Bruce P. Carlson Student Scholarship Competition - Level II (2025), Second place at the NATS National Student Auditions Competition (2024), First place in the Schubert Club’s Bruce P. Carlson Student Scholarship Competition - Level I (2024), Farwell award recipient in the Musicians Club of Women Vocal Competition (2024), Third place at Wisconsin NATS in the Upper College Classical Treble division (2023), Second Place in the Fox Valley Orchestra Collegiate Voice Competition (2022), and First place in Medici’s International Music Competition (2022).
Previous performance credits include being the soprano soloist in Samuel Barber’s Prayers of Kierkegaard in UW-Milwaukee’s Masterworks Concert (2023), a select soloist in collaboration with the Florentine Opera Company in Milwaukee Ballet’s production of Dracula (2023), Rosalinda in UW-Milwaukee Opera Theater’s production of Die Fledermaus (2023), Beth in UW-Milwaukee Opera Theater’s production of Adamo's Little Women (2022), UWM Opera Scenes Impossible Operas (2022), where she performed scenes by Philip Glass, Dvořák, Handel, and Poulenc, and Contessa (cover) in Le Nozze di Figaro (2021). Previous scenes include Cleopatra from Giulio Cesare (2021) and Ruggiero from Alcina (2021).
Scotlyn received her undergraduate BFA Vocal Performance Degree from UW-Milwaukee studying under Shallece Peters in Spring 2024. She is now interning at the Florentine Opera in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as well as being the Music Outreach Coordinator for the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
